Quick semi-homemade dinner idea!

We all have those days where you are either too busy to think about dinner or you just really don't want to. After so many nights of planning, shopping, preparing and cooking, I just get burnt out!  This is a great recipe to use up leftover chicken, especially if you have a rotisserie on hand. First I get this brand and flavor of couscous.
I sautée up a pound of mushrooms and an onion.
As you are sautéing the mushrooms and onions follow the directions on the cous cous package. Then I throw in a handful of cranberries and a handful of chopped pecans. Dice up some chicken, I probably had about 1.5 cups, but you can use as much or as little as you like, and throw all of that in with your vegetables.
Once your couscous is finished just mix it all together and serve!
It tastes like thanksgiving dinner to us!  It is one of my favorite quick meals!

UFOs

I am really bad about starting projects and not finishing them.  If there is a deadline, I will always finish it. I should just promise every quilt to someone and then maybe I would finish more quilts. Here are some of my unfinished quilts.
This is the In from the Cold, Kate Spain quilt. Since I took this pic I have added an additional border.

I am in the process of quilting this quilt top. It is a lot of work, it would be nice if it was done before Christmas.

This is my own design, this is also waiting to be quilted. I think I am going to send this off to a longarmer to finish.

Here are a few recent finishes.

This is a case for my Kindle Paperwhite I made.

Santa table runner complete with bells on their jackets and Pom Poms on their hats!!

First post!

Here is my first blog post ever!!

I am quite a few years behind everyone else it seems!  I came up with the name for my blog, with the help of my hubby, because it explains me perfectly.  I have always loved crafting and making things, mostly for the challenge to see if I could do it or not since I was very young.  I am the type of person that likes to follow directions and rules and I am not very creative myself.  When I tell friends and family this, they think I am crazy.  They assume you have to be creative to create things.  When I was talking to my hubby about this, he said I was semi creative because I take things from the Internet, but put my own spin on them.  I use the Internet to get the idea started, but I can't come up with stuff like that on my own, hence, semi kreative.  I spelled it with a K since my name starts with that letter, that's my way of being semi creative!  :)
I enjoy sewing, quilting, cross stitching, paper crafting and just about any other craft thing you can think of.  I have the best husband and we live in Florida with our 3 rescued orange kitties.  Here is a pic of 2 of them at Christmas a few years ago.
